When you draft 2 weeks before the start of the first regular season game, you’re leaving your team vulnerable to 2 weeks of potential injuries and roster moves. Like Jordy Nelson tearing his ACL right after you draft him in the second round.
Post-draft news and moves for week 1:
- Justin forsett was cut, then signed again immediately, which almost left Tom with half a running back left on his roster.
- Gronk is still apparently hurt and going to be out for week 1, leaving ders to scavenge the waiver wire for a replacement until gronk plays (if he ever does).
- Brad W apparently picked up the retired Marshawn Lynch in the hopes he can make an epic comeback to being the fantasy stud he’s always been. Beast mode could be the pickup of the year and finally help lead Brad to the playoffs, but we’ll have to wait to see.
- Another injury nobody saw coming, Charles is also looking to be out week 1 for Weston, and Colin is going to start his backup spencer ware against the always bitter Charles owner.
- Brad L and Tom made the first trade of the year, Terrance west for Will Fuller. The trade helps both teams, Tom gets the once potential starter to get some insurance at running back behind forsett, and Brad gets another rookie, because he loves rookies.
- In other news that doesn’t have any affect on our league, teddy bridgewater apparently tore his leg off in practice and will be out for the season, the Vikings traded for Bradford, the Eagles are shamelessly accepting that they’ve already lost the season, and Jared Goff is looking like shit and is now the worst quarterback on a Rams team that already had two shit quarterbacks on their roster.
