Ah, another beautiful week of fantasy football. There were some interesting storylines this week but first lets get to the scores of our head to head matchups.

Odell Gay 111.5 Vs 0-3 75.9

Championship Zog 84.1 vs If Ya Ain’t First Ur Last 126.7

Steven Logic 90.5 vs anti fantasy fantasy team 105.5

TG II time Defending champ 117.7 vs Team Odell Draft 85.8

BrAD Luck 72.4 vs #myteamgotnext 97.3

Holdouts Anonymous 72.7 vs pROMOting greatness II 109.5

My Matchups of the week turned out to be a lot less eventful than I would have predicted BrAD luck and Team Odell Draft turned in less than spectacular performances giving ders his first win of the season. Now he beat Tyler Berry so not much to brag about here but a win is a win and he will never shut up about how many points his team scored.

I mentioned in the chat that I would cover what stage Ders is in, while he thinks he is in acceptance and moved past it. From a psychology major, he has not. Since he wont shut up about his points he is more in the bargaining stage. He can deny it all he wants but until he stops mentioning how many points he has scored and how everyone has their best week against him he will be stuck in that stage for eternity.

There were some important storylines from this week in the NFL. Let’s start off with the terrible Dissly injury, from a guy who hurt himself last season and then potentially has a torn achilles on the opposite leg this season, it is sad to see such a young player with a lot of promise get hurt like that.

Diggs is back baby! Weston called it the revenge game and he was spot on, he did not have many catches but what he did with those catches was super impressive. It is also good to see Tyreek hill back and having an impressive start with a moss catch and a touchdown. Really impressive for someone of his stature.

And how about that New England D? The New England defense has more touchdowns than the likes of Marlon Mack and Leveon Bell, they are also not just the top producing defense but one of the top producing fantasy positions across all boards which no one would have ever guessed. You could even call them the best player on Ders team which is most likely true.

The Chargers are turning out to be a 3 week wonder, no one really knows where Phillip Rivers has gone, the guy can’t push the ball downfield and his accuracy has seem to gone astray. Quite possibly the next Eli Manning? Who knows but with the Kyle Allen surge it will be interesting to watch what happens with either him or Cam Newton. Could be a very big QB market for both and both would bring back a nice return to the Panthers.

On another note not involving any NFL teams at all but the referees. The amount of penalties that are being thrown are ridiculous, looking at the numbers between penalties of week 6 last year and this year there is a huge discrepancy and whats worse about that is a lot of those calls have been wrong calls costing teams games. Especially those Lions, one call is the difference (kind) between first and last place for them.

Next week is a pretty big week in our league that can really shake up the standings. With multiple 2-4 teams playing each other this could be a turning point for some and a point of no return for others so lets take a look at next weeks matchups of the week.

The first matchup is #myteamgotnext 5-1 vs Steven Logic 4-2. With Carey sitting pretty at 5-1 (no idea how) this will be a big matchup. Carey is currently in second place with the third least points scored in the league (theres a points reference for you ders) so I am calling Steven logic to get the W this week and restore balance to the force.

My Next matchup of the week to look out for is pROMOting greatness II vs BrAD Luck. Similar to the previous matchup just Weston is more deserving of his record. Looking at the matchups both sides have promising players against terrible teams but I think BrAD Luck is going to pull this one out and come on top with a W.

The standings in our league are very close and a couple of games could really shake up the standings. Some things I am looking forward too next week…

Will the Browns ever figure out what is going on?

Who is worse, the refs or the browns?

Will Patrick Mahomes get healthy?

Who is going to make a MVP separating performance. Christian? Russel? Deshaun? those are my favorites but right now I think Russel is leading the pack

Stay tuned next week for another weekly recap!
