Another wonderful week of the NFL is over. The Bills pulled out their 3rd straight win and are finally looking legit, my fantasy team continues to lose on Monday nights, and Brady is back to being Brady.
Brendan and Brad had probably the most exciting game of the week. Brendan survived David Johnson’s Thursday night explosion to pull out the win for the week. Brendan finally got to start Brady this week, and is now stuck with two of the best quarterbacks in the game right now with Big Ben having a great day on his bench as well. Sammie Coates was a great start at the flex with his two touchdown performance, but we’ll have to see if he can keep up that sort of production while competing with Brown and Bell for touches. Brad finally got production out of Gronk, and the future’s looking bright for him with Brady back (even though Bennett had 3 touchdowns).
Weston and Carey squared off, with Weston giving the spot start to Carson Wentz with Brees on bye. Both teams played well, but the Minnesota D struck again with another huge day to put Weston on top. Carey left a lot of points on his bench, which may have been his downfall this time. Odell finally scored, so there’s still hope for Carey’s team.
Ders scored the most points of the week in his win over Xavi, even with Xavi scored a respectable 106. Fitz and the cardinals defensive performance on Thursday night were too much to recover from. Oh, and Vinatieri had a casual 23 points. Kickers should never be able to score 23 points and win a week like that, but that’s Ders gain and Xavi’s loss. Steve Smith was also hurt on the week.
Tom again got an easy win (probably has the least points against) against TJ this week. TJ’s bench scored an outstanding 0 total points for the second time this season with bye weeks and injuries. Tom loves easy wins and this week TJ kindly obliged. Tom is really benefitting from this lucky streak which will probably get him into the playoffs. Again.
Colin and Tyler had the shitty matchup of the week. Colin’s team saw Brad Williamson’s shitty matchup as a personal challenge and came out with a 40.1 point performance. Brandon Marshall scored 17.4 of those points, which left the rest of his team COMBINING to score 22.7 points. Meanwhile, Olsen is the monster tight end of the year, and didn’t need any touchdowns to put up 18.1 points. Will Colin’s team ever win? Has anyone seen him?
In the B.Lopes vs Zog matchup, Will Fuller and Sterling Shepard had a total of 1.8 points, and Remember Tyler Berry lost its second straight week on a Monday night performance. This week, it was Mike Evans’ turn to break hearts. Other than that, Elliot is getting better and better, just like I knew he would when I drafted him, but CJ needs to get back in the groove.
