Now that the first week of the regular season is over, we should overreact immediately.
The 49ers are the best team in the NFL, the Rams might be the worst, Dez can’t catch a ball, the Cardinals won’t make the playoffs, Weston is the best, the Eagles are good, AP and Gurley are going to be huge busts this year.
So let’s take a look at how some of the teams did this weekend.
Weston’s back to first place with an impressive performance over Colin “Cinema” Apperson, and everyone on the team contributed to the win with his worst performing player still able to rack up 6.8 points. Weston’s confidence is at an all-time high, and he will likely expect this fantasy output for the rest of the season. *We have neither seen nor heard from Colin since the draft, and we may never hear from him again after this loss.
Ders and Steven had one of the closest matches of the week heading into Monday, with a battle of top running backs as the deciding factor in that matchup. Ders’ confidence in his fantasy football players is always ridiculously high, making it hard to have any sort of trade discussions. But if he can pull out a few wins before he gets Le’Veon Bell back in his lineup, he may finally make it to the playoffs.

Keenan Allen was apparently carted off the field with a torn ACL, so he is now dead to the league and Steven’s roster. Steven does have some players on his bench (Melvin and Josh Gordon) that can step up for him and keep him from falling off the playoff radar even without one of his top draft picks. Martellus Bennett was also a massive disappointment after starting at tight end with Gronk out. There’s no doubt Steven makes a recovery from this week’s outcome.
Tyler didn’t get the fanstey performance he needed out of his star quarterback Russell Wilson. Meanwhile, Xavi was able to get 35.5 points out of Andrew Luck this to cover for some poor performances from Devonta Freeman and John Brown. Xavi makes it by Tyler’s strong roster for his first win in the league since 2014.
TJ and the Eagles looked strong week 1 against Brendan, but he may lose the best tight end in the game Zach Ertz to an injury as he is considered week-to-week with an apparent rib injury. Meanwhile, Adrian Peterson couldn’t run against the Titans and Dez dropped the ball. Can Dak and Dez make some magic this season or are the Cowboys going to be a massive disappointment again without Romo?

Brad Williamson and Carey square off as the reigning champ looks to make another championship run. Bwill wouldn’t be denied a win this week getting about 19 points each from the three Cardinals players in his starting lineup even though the team itself lost. The #Footclan team didn’t play enough this week to overcome the Cardinals power trio, but don’t count him out yet.
Tom gets his first win of the season against Brad Lopes and pulls ahead with two very strong late performances from Antonio Brown and Desean Jackson. Tom was definitely feeling the pressure after CJ’s Thursday night performance, but he made a good decision sitting Demaryius Thomas, with Cooks and Brown each having over 24 points. The Bills combo of Tyrod and Watkins were a huge letdown with less than 10 points combined and the Chiefs Defense couldn’t do anything to stop the broken San Diego offense. The next matchup between these two should be a good one as both players are likely to be fighting for a playoff position.
In other news, RGIII was surprisingly injured in his first start for the Browns, which leaves a capable McCown in charge of an offense that can’t wait for Josh Gordon to come back from his suspension.
Chris Ivory missed week 1 with some weird shit and they apparently don’t know what’s wrong with him. That leaves Yeldon in charge of the Jaguars backfield until further notice, which is good news for Xavi, especially with how his running backs have been looking.
